MBE Worldwide, one of the largest third-party logistics, printing and communications service retail networks in the world with 2,300 locations globally, acquired AlphaGraphics, Inc. (“AlphaGraphics”), a leading design, printing, marketing and communications retail system.
Following this acquisition, MBE Worldwide’s global network now encompasses more than 2.600 global business service centers - ca. 500 in the U.S. and 2.100 internationally in 40 countries - with expected to achieve System-wide Sales of ca. 800 million euro in 2017. Both MBE Worldwide and AlphaGraphics currently operate in the business services industry through a retail-based network owned and operated by individual entrepreneurs.
MBE specializes in third-party logistics, focusing on shipping, micro and related retail logistics services. AlphaGraphics concentrates on offering premium graphic design, printing, marketing and communications services. Both companies serve primarily businesses (small-and medium-sized enterprises) as well as private consumers.
Thanks to this 61.5 million dollar investment (excluding possible post-closing adjustment), and also considering recent US-based PostNet acquisition in April 2017, MBE ensured an even stronger presence in the U.S. market and an expanded global services offering.
“AlphaGraphics is an excellent strategic fit for MBE because of its entrepreneur-driven, people-centric, customer-first business model, which complements our MBE business and culture. Furthermore, AlphaGraphics has earned a reputation for technological and service excellence in the highly competitive print, marketing and communications industry in the U.S.” said Paolo Fiorelli, Chairman & CEO MBE. “We are excited to welcome AlphaGraphics to the MBE family and to work together to provide high-value solutions to our small business and consumer customers across the globe.”
“This is an exciting development for the AlphaGraphics network system,” said Gay Burke, AlphaGraphics Executive Chair. “Combining forces with MBE Worldwide creates unique opportunities to synergize with colleagues similarly steeped in managing a highly professional network of entrepreneurs.”
